Inducted October 26, 2017, Bassist Chris Chaney has been most famously known—along with fellow RockGodz inductee Stephen Perkins—as a member of alt rock band Jane’s Addiction and as part of Alanis Morissette’s group for seven years. He has also played alongside Perkins in the Panic Channel, which featured Dave Navarro on guitar. Chaney has recorded bass on a variety of artists’ records ranging from Slash, Shakira, Joe Cocker, Glen Campbell, Avril Lavigne, Sara Bareilles, Shinedown, Michael Buble, The Band Perry, Cher and Tommy Lee’s Methods of Mayhem and has been half of the rhythm section with Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins in the Coattail Riders. He is also a session player on a few hundred major films.
