Renowned musician Dennis Lewin hails from Cleveland, Ohio, and began his piano journey at the tender age of 4. After rigorous training from esteemed teachers like Margaret Heller and Dr. Andrius Kuprevicius, Dennis went on to explore his love for rock music, performing with numerous local bands. Making his mark as a skilled songwriter, Dennis found great success as part of Jonah Koslen and the Heroes, and later, the acclaimed Cleveland band, Beau Coup.
Lewin’s impressive resume includes a host of famous musicians and two record deals, the latter spawning the successful album “Born and Raised on Rock and Roll.” His song “Sweet Rachel” even made it to #53 on the “Billboard Hot 100” singles chart.
Beyond performance, Dennis’s talent extends to teaching and hosting a popular radio program called “Turning You On To Classical Music with Dennis Lewin,” giving listeners a deep dive into classical music’s influential figures. He has also received praise for his solo piano CD “Crossing Chagrin” and received accolades for providing the soundtrack to the award-winning independent film, “Filmic Achievement.”
Lewin’s influential status in music earned him appearances in author Les Roberts’s Cleveland-based novels and in two music-themed books. He continues giving back to his community through his music, performing as a solo pianist every Wednesday at the “Hyde Park Piano Room” in Beachwood, Ohio.
