Inducted November 18, 2018 Drum Workshop COO and drum designer John Good is known and
variously referred to as the “Woodologist” or “Wood Whisperer” and for good reason. Good has an encyclopaedic knowledge of the physics of wood veneer as it applies to the sonic properties of the drum kit. More simply stated: John Good knows a helluva lot about drums! Fueled by his lifelong passion for the properties of wood, John travelled the world in search of untapped, exotic and sustainable woods. Years on the road as the drum tech for Michael Jackson, Frank Zappa and many others led to many patented technologies now being utilized used in today’s modern drum manufacturing processes.
