Inducted November 18, 2018, Since his early days of chasing burgers for A&M studios, Rob Jacobs
continues to remain passionate about music. Hired by Jimmy Iovine to record and mix selected tracks for
the U2 smash Rattle & Hum, Rob helped create the sound for the top 10 single Angel of Harlem. As a
follow up, Rob recorded & mixed the Grammy winning and Billboard Top 10 album End of the Innocence by Don Henley. With his work for the historic Hell Freezes Over he received first Grammy nomination. An Emmy nomination for Jacobs followed with MTV’s Eagles’ performance. Significant music hits for Jacobs
include I Touch Myself by the Divinyls, he also engineered and mixed Alanis Moriessette’s Under Rug Swept, a Billboard number one album. Legends of the music world routinely court Rob’s mixing services, including artists Elton John, Sheryl Crow, Jon Bon Jovi, Stevie Nicks, Kiss, Weezer, and Warren Zevon. Jerry Seinfeld picked Rob to mix and record the Grammy nominated I’m Telling You For the Last Time. Other live broadcasts mixed by Jacobs include Don Henley on The Late Show with David Letterman and
The Grammy Awards, plus several live shows by The Eagles for radio. Rob mixed many of Shakira’s live performances that include: The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Ellen Degeneres, Good Morning America, and The Today Show, her performance at Versailles during the Live 8 Show. Rob’s work with Shakira garnered him five Grammy wins.
