Inducted October 26, 2017, A native Los Angeleno, Stephen Perkins was banging on stuff when he was eight years old. After a series of non-descript bands—Champion, Disaster— played around Hollywood, he finally formed Jane’s Addiction in late summer of 1985. A decade later, he put together Porno for Pyros and in the early 2000s played with Panic Channel. He’s subsequently assembled various bands including Banyan, Hellride, Tabitha and Summer Moon. When he’s not hitting things, he’s inventing things with which to invent stuff.
